Cleveland built the CBX line around a simple observation, most golfers play cavity back, game improvement irons, but then switch to a compact, tour-style wedge once they get inside 100 yards. CBX is a wedge shaped to match the irons already in the bag.
Cavity back design
The cavity back shape works with ZipCore technology, a lightweight core that replaces heavier steel, to move the center of gravity and raise MOI. Mass shifts toward the toe and higher on the face, which helps the wedge stay stable on mishits the way a game improvement iron would.
Grooves
UltiZip grooves, cut sharper, deeper, and closer together than Cleveland's older pattern, add two extra grooves per face, and HydraZip face texture adds friction for consistent spin in wet or dry conditions.
See the Cleveland wedges we have in stock, or compare it to the tour-style RTX ZipCore. We also do custom wedge stamping on any wedge you buy from us.
