It's tempting to buy a full-price junior set for a kid who might lose interest in a month, or might grow two inches before the season's over. Here's how to spend less and still set them up right.
What actually matters
At a young age, weight and length matter far more than brand name. A club that's too heavy or too long will hurt a kid's swing more than any technology gap between brands will help it.
Buy for now, not for next year
Junior clubs get outgrown fast, which makes pre-owned sets a lower-risk way to get a kid started without a big upfront cost.
