The G425, released in 2021, built on the movable weight idea PING introduced with the G410 and added a face design aimed squarely at one of the most common mishits, contact low on the face.
Spinsistency
A curved face design decreases loft by about 2.5 degrees toward the bottom of the face, which counters the extra spin that a low strike normally produces. The result is a more consistent spin rate across a wider area of the face.
Tungsten options
The G425 Max uses a 26 gram movable tungsten weight, the LST gets a 17 gram CG shifter for shot shape control, and the SFT model carries a 23 gram heel weight built in for players who need help fighting a slice.
