The Callaway Paradym (2023) is the better value, usually about $220 to $300 used. The Paradym Ai Smoke (2024) is a year newer, with Callaway's Ai Smart Face, and sells for about $320 to $340 used. Both use the same 360 carbon chassis idea. Pick Paradym if you want most of the technology for less; pick Ai Smoke if you want the newer face and the Max Fast or Max D options.

What made the Paradym different?
The Paradym was Callaway's first driver with a 360 carbon chassis: a carbon crown and a forged carbon sole with no titanium in the body. Callaway says the chassis is 44% lighter than a titanium equivalent, and the saved weight went to forgiveness and adjustability. It also used a redesigned, AI-designed Jailbreak system (Callaway says 33% lighter than before) and was Callaway's first driver with a forged titanium face cup. What changed in the Paradym Ai Smoke?
Callaway kept the carbon chassis, made it about 15% lighter and removed the Jailbreak bars. The headline is the Ai Smart Face, which Callaway says was trained on swing data from thousands of real golfers to create multiple sweet spots across the face, so typical mishits keep more speed and stay straighter. Ai Smoke also added more heads aimed at specific golfers.

Should you buy a used Paradym or Ai Smoke?
For most golfers, the original Paradym is the smarter buy: it has the carbon chassis that defined the family for about $100 less used. The Ai Smoke makes sense if you want the newer face, or if you need the Max Fast (lightweight) or Max D (draw) heads, which have no direct Paradym equivalent. Some listings cost more because of a premium aftermarket shaft, like the Autoflex shaft in one of our women's Paradym X drivers. Each listing names the exact shaft, so compare the head and the shaft together.
