The Titleist TSR2 is the more forgiving driver, built for golfers who want speed and stability across the face. The TSR3 is the more adjustable one, with a movable weight track that lets better players fine-tune spin and shot shape. Both are 460cc, both launched in 2022, and both are now strong used buys since Titleist replaced them with the GT series in 2024.

What's the difference between TSR2 and TSR3?
The main difference is where the weight goes. On the TSR2, Titleist moved the weight from the sole to the rear skirt to push mass low and back for stability, and the CG stays in one place. You can change the swingweight, but not move the weight around. It's the most forgiving of the TSR drivers.
The TSR3 uses Titleist's SureFit CG track, a four-position weight in the sole that shifts the center of gravity toward the heel or toe. That lets a fitter tune shot shape and dial in spin. Its head shape carries over from the TSi3, which many better players liked for its look at address. Both models share the SureFit hosel for loft and lie adjustment.
At launch, the TSR3 was the most-used driver model at The Open in 2022, a sign of how much tour players liked the tuning options.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose TSR2 if you miss the center of the face regularly, want a higher launch, or just want the most forgiving Titleist from that generation. Most mid and higher handicaps belong here.
- Choose TSR3 if you hit it fairly consistently, have a shot shape you'd like to tighten up, or want to fine-tune spin. Lower handicaps and faster swingers tend to prefer it.
Not sure? Hit both. At our Farmers Branch shop you can test drivers on our simulator Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Are the TSR2 and TSR3 still worth buying in 2026?
Yes, for most golfers. Every conforming driver sits under the same USGA limits on face springiness, so the newer GT drivers mostly add refinements in forgiveness, sound and feel rather than big speed gains. If you want the newer model, read GT2 vs TSR2 and GT2 vs GT3.
What to check when buying a used TSR driver
- Shaft and flex: TSR drivers shipped with several featured shafts (HZRDUS Red CB, Tensei AV Blue, HZRDUS Black 4G, Tensei 1K Black) plus premium Tour AD options. Every GolfRoots listing names the exact shaft.
- Hosel setting: the SureFit hosel may have been adjusted by the last owner. Check the setting before you play.
- Crown and face: look at the condition grade and photos for sky marks or dents. Dented clubs are labeled and priced lower.
- Headcover and wrench: listings say whether a headcover is included.
